Support Salim Adofo for Ward 8 Councilmember

DC YIMBYs recently endorsed Salim Adofo for the Ward 8 Councilmember special election. Of all the candidates, he has the clearest commitment to proactive, inclusive housing policies that align with YIMBY principles.

The election is on July 15, and turnout is crucial. To support Salim, we have three events lined up to help him get out the vote and other ways to get involved. Help make the DC council more pro-housing by supporting Salim.

Canvassing

On Saturday, June 21, join YIMBYs for an afternoon of community canvassing in Navy Yard. We’ll kick things off at Wise Guys Pizza with a brief orientation and introductions at 3:00 PM, then hit the doors to talk with neighbors about why Ward 8 deserves bold, community-driven leadership. RSVP here.
